we have had an issue where the bolt of the bathroom door on our caravan didn't retract all of the way.
as you can see below the latch has worn and now acts as 2 ramps, this causes it to jam and sometimes skip over the latch and jam hte door closed.

to fix this I bent the tabs strate and removed the spring collar to dismantle it.

the fix for this was to use a TIG welder and verry cairfully pulse the torch to gently add metal back to the wto worn faces. ground this back and reasembled and now it works as new.
